Crisp white cabinetry and glamorous shiny countertops frame a panoramic view of Manhattan’s skyline, gives this kitchen design a sleek modern minimalism. Due to the unusual L-shape galley floor-plan, an intimate breakfast space is created. Because of the leucite table, the expansive, quintessential Manhattan view becomes a backdrop to this 250-square foot kitchen. Designed in collaboration with Daniel Popescu from Bilotta Kitchens for a look that’s current, modern and sleek.

The all-white glossy cabinetry and countertops reflect light from a floor-to-ceiling window, resulting in a bright, open and airy space. The high-tech Dekton by Cosentino countertops are highly resistant, durable and maintenance free. The glossy white cabinets are polyester-painted, hence the product has superior mechanical and chemical resistant qualities. Due to this process, limited VOC content is dispersed into the environment. Flat channel hardware, soft close runners and hinges add to the minimal design with few decorative accessories and zero clutter on the countertops let the smart mix of materials—and tonight’s dinner—shine!
Stainless-steel Wolf oven, stove, microwave, and warmer draw appliances accent the deliberately monochromatic palette keeping the focus on the panoramic Manhattan backdrop. The Sub-Zero refrigerator and Miele dishwasher are camouflaged with the Bilotta cabinet cladding, maintaining the minimalistic design. In most New York apartments, you feel constrained and closed-in, here you get spoiled.
The sink and Franke faucet are surrounded by Artistic Tiles’ Orchid Flat Bianco Carrara from Michael Aram Stone collection. The vibrant mosaic backsplash radiates a graceful charm of delicate orchid flowers. Consequently, the realistic crystalline white Thassos flowers seem like they are dancing across a smooth background of polished grey. The Mosaic is also used for an accent wall leading to the laundry room. Finally, brush-stroke nickel, textured porcelain 12 x 34 grey tile flooring create a luminous suave space as compelling as the sparkling view.
